If you're one of the selected teams, you will get your accommodation at Stugan for free.
You will work and live in the cabin, which also have a dining area as well as bedrooms and leisure areas. In the 30 years that has passed since, the games industry growth has been phenomenal, in Sweden, and around the world. Build your network We aim to gather the most creative and inspiring teams out there, with ideas that could revolutionise gaming. And hopefully the inspiration from these individuals will help boost your own project and your chance of finding interesting collaborations for future game projects. These will be your room- and workmates for two months. Your goal can be a demo, a Kickstarter build or why not a game ready for release - it's up to you.
Spend two months of your life in the woods, far away from civilization building the game of your dreams. Stugan Stugan Stugan is a non-profit accelerator program for talented game developers, helping new teams and individuals to realise their wildest game ideas. Visitors from the game industry will frequently visit to inspire and get inspired. The first Stugan event happened in summer During your eight weeks in the cabin, you will work on your game with the aim to reach your goal, as described in your pitch.
As your stay comes to an end, the season finale will include viewers voting for the best game. The winner will not only receive a fine prize but more importantly: a great deal of PR, as the Winner of Stugan ! In , brothers Kimmo and Viggo Eriksson created a text adventure on the mainframe Oden, but it wasn't until the game was released, and sold for 95 SEK on mail order. Every week we'll publish videos from Stugan, so fans from all over the world can follow your development.
Send us your pitch, describe your idea and apply as an individual or as a team up to three people strong. The cabin is actually quite large, and holds room for a large work space, as well as bedrooms for 23 people.

To incentivise even more young talent to get into this industry and reach a world audience with their creations, we've initiated a yearly summer camp called STUGAN, located between Falun and Borlänge, in the municipality of Dalarna. We aim to get some of the most influential game developers in Scandinavia, and from the rest of the world, to visit Stugan.
We also accept applicants from all over the world, and we'll try to create a mixed crew. This means we'll aim for a multicultural diverse group.
